On December 30, Teià became a cardioprotected territory with the installation of 5 defibrillators distributed throughout different parts of the municipality:
- El Cim Sports Center (Carrer Josep Puigoriol, 68-84
- Cap (Plaça Catalunya, 3)
- Municipal Market (Plaça Catalunya, 6)
- Local Police (2 – they last to the cotxes policials)
- Cáritas Teià (Plaça Sant Jaume, 10)

During the month of October, a dozen municipal workers and police officers took a course to learn how to use defibrillators in case of need. Now, it will be the turn of the population. On February 9, the Department of Health has scheduled a training session at the Unió, from 4 to 7 in the afternoon. It will be a theoretical and practical workshop aimed at citizens in general and will be taught by us.
Following the methodology of the European Resuscitation Council, the objective of the workshop is to train participants in the use of semi-automatic defibrillators and other basic life support healthcare techniques. The session will include various practices and the simulation of hypothetical cases.
