At Neosalus we want to teach the little ones the importance of first aid and for this reason we have devised the courses “Children saving lives at school”.
The initiative is carried out to 250 students of 4th grade in 6 educational centers in the city of Lleida and consists of 3-hour courses combining theory and practice taught by specialized instructors so that children can learn the notions of the former aid.
The objectives are to raise awareness that in any unexpected situation related to health, call 112 quickly to receive help but also how they should act in a safe way to help an unconscious victim, placing them in the lateral safety position. Also identify serious situations and know the basics of using semiautomatic defibrillators.
Among the main contents, we teach what are first aid, basic life support and the use of the AED (Automatic External Defibrillators), among other important aspects in the event that an unconscious victim is found.
Finally, we want to encourage the participation of children and that they are interested in collaboration in the face of any unforeseen event of an unconscious victim.
During the course we carry out activities to make it more entertaining and the children learn to save lives in a satisfactory way.
